Job descriptionConstruction experience is required (multi-family renovation experience required) . High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as assigned. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret multi-family construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ; experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage is a plus. Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of integrity.
Estimator - Multi Family Renovations
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Evaluate construction deficiencies in multi-family properties and determine necessary improvements for code compliance.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for property repairs.
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure accurate estimates and bid packages.
- Conduct site inspections with clients, sales representatives, and insurance adjusters.
- Prepare repair estimates in Xactimate in a timely, efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and negotiate settlements.
- Provide construction expertise during contract negotiations.
- Assist operations and office staff with proper documentation throughout the bidding process.
- Offer insights on material and labor cost estimating.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address construction issues and propose solutions.
