Supply Chain Supply Planner For Raw Materials

Talascend is currently seeking a Supply Chain Supply Planner for Raw Materials for a contract opportunity with our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Supply Chain Supply Planner for Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement and availability of raw materials to support production schedules. This role involves demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain raw material supply plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and minimize disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock levels and reduce excess / obsolete inventory.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning material availability with project timelines.
• Utilize ERP and planning systems to maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) data.
