POSITION SUMMARY

To organize, scan and index documents into the patients Electronic Medical Record.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education / Training :

High School Graduate or G.E.D.

Workplace Experience :

Hospital experience preferred

Reception and telephone experience required.

Strong communication skills required.

Strong clerical skills.

Organizational skills.

Equipment and Skills Training :

Computer skills preferred

Keyboarding

Good number-letter recognition skills

Physical Environment :

Office

Physical Effort :

Prolonged sitting and standing. Repetitive motion, i.e. keyboarding. Filing which includes : bending, stooping, reaching and stretching to retrieve items over your head; up to 15 pounds. Walking distance to retrieve charts from archive. Prolonged viewing of computer screens and charts consisting of typed and handwritten entries.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Assists with scanning patients medical charts into Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Has proficient knowledge of Allscripts PM and EHR systems.
  • Manage and organize documents for scanning
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Provides timely completion of work assignments
