Accountant Position
Transdev North America is the largest private sector operator of multiple modes of transit in North America, providing bus, rail, paratransit & shuttle services. We manage over 200 transportation contracts for cities, transit authorities, and airports, providing safe and sustainable mobility solutions. Annual Salary Range : $65,000 to $70,000 annually We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including : Vacation : minimum of two (2) weeks + Sick days : 5 days + Holidays : 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating + Other standard benefits : 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
Overview of Position
The Accountant is part of the Corporate accounting team with the primary responsibilities for bank reconciliations, AR and AP reconciliations, as well as other accounting requirements. This position interacts with various levels of financial and operational personnel both internally and externally, including banking representatives and auditors. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills are highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Experience
Two (2) to five (5) years recent experience in treasury / accounting.
Skills and Knowledge Required
Experience and knowledge using Bank of America CashPro and JP Morgan Chase banking platforms preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including but not limited to PIVOT tables and charts, LOOKUPs, INDEX and MATCH, SUMIF / S, and IF functions Experience with a large-scale ERP system, such as J. D. Edwards is a plus Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written) Must have a high degree of self-initiative with an ability to learn and tackle new challenges with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities among several stakeholders to meet deadlines Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to data integrity and accuracy
Travel Requirement
Less than 10% outside of immediate area.
