Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions. Monitor for and report any suspicious activities or irregularities to help to deter unwanted incidents. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and / or visitors as needed. Document incidents and daily activities thoroughly according to Allied Universal protocols. Assist with access control by observing entry and exit points as assigned. Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders if required. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available CPR certification is preferred. Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are preferred. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Transportation Patrol
As a Security Officer - Transportation Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
