Chair of Public Policy and Administration
Position Summary
The College of Liberal Arts is accepting applications for the Department Chair of Public Policy and Administration. Qualifications Minimum Required Education Earned doctorate degree in Public Administration or related field. Minimum Required Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic environment.
- Attained successful administrative experience appropriate to the required responsibilities, including leadership, planning, program development, evaluation, problem solving, public relations, managing academic budgets, collaborative teams and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Required Licenses and / or Certifications None Qualifications Demonstrated record of accomplishment including scholarly and research publications meriting appointment at the rank of associate or full professor.

- Providing vision and leadership for the Department of Public Policy and Administration.
- Promoting excellence in teaching, research and service by actively supporting the development of faculty in the attainment of their academic goals.
- Facilitating the Department’s efforts to achieve excellence and increase national and international prominence for faculty, staff and students.
- Supervising, coordinating and evaluating activities related to graduate instruction, assessment, research, scholarship and engagement.
