Our direct client, a fast-growing health care technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to join a growing team.

As a major contributor to the Scrum team, you will be expected to gather featured requests, prioritize tasks, organize & coordinate sprints, assess work progress, and schedule releases.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage the product and meet release expectations.

Ultimately, you will aid in delivering products to achieve the Company’s vision while furthering your own career in product management.

This position can be 100% remote, or hybrid mode (preferred), working on site in the Houston office 2 or 3 days a week.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Incorporate feature requests into a product roadmap.
  • Groom and prioritize backlog.
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Set sprint goals.
  • Write acceptance tests.
  • Plan releases and upgrades.
  • Follow the progress of work and address production issues during sprints.
  • Analyze preferences and requests of end users.
  • Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback.
  • Keep track of industry trends.

Experience & Qualifications :

  • Significant experience listening to client issues and problems, relating them to client’s needs, proposing appropriate solutions, and communicating these in technical and non-technical and non-technical terms.
  • 7+ years of work experience, with 3+ years as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
  • 3+ years of Healthcare industry experience, especially with prior claims process systems.
  • CMS and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience is a big plus.
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stags of the product life cycle.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field.
