Telemetry & Thoracic / Cardiovascular Unit
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is one of the world's most respected centers focused on cancer patient care, research, education, and prevention. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably at least one year of recent experience working in direct patient care. Must be able to work 7pm-7am, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Summary Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Scope Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. Essential Job Functions Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit / discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team. Other duties as assigned.
Education Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience Required : None Preferred : One year of inpatient hospital experience.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred : CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire
Other Requirements Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
