Salary Range :  $120,000 – $125,000 / year

Start Date : Â ASAP

Hours :  Monday – Friday | 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM CST

Work Location : Â Onsite only (no remote or hybrid)

Position Summary :

Selectek is seeking a Controls Engineer  with extensive experience in Siemens S7-300 and S7-1500 PLC programming. This is a direct hire  opportunity with a manufacturing company near Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capital project execution, PLC conversions, panel design, startup / commissioning, and ongoing control system modifications.

Must-Have Qualifications :

Extensive hands-on experience with Siemens S7-300 and S7-1500 PLC programming

Proficiency with Simatic Manager and TIA Portal (V15.1 – V18)

Capital project experience and working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes

AutoCAD 2016  experience (specifically for panel design)

Background in a fast-paced manufacturing  environment

Startup and commissioning of machines and control systems

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

Experience with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment

Nice-to-Have :

HMI development experience

Previous work converting S7-300 to S7-1500

Experience traveling to support remote sites (minimal travel to Pittsburgh ~10%)

Compensation & Benefits :

Salary :  $120,000 – $125,000 / year

Bonus : Â Up to 15%
