Network Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring Network Engineer in Schriever Air Force Base CO / Aurora, CO.

As Network Engineer you will :

• We are seeking Network Engineers to join our Engineering team.
• The qualified candidate will support the design, development, Integration, and maintenance of our modern infrastructure Network framework.
• The environments are a mix of physical and virtualized servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.

This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard Network Engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset, have the ability and willingness to troubleshoot complex network problems, seeking to understand virtualized design elements in a dynamic environment.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have :

Clearance Required : Active Secret

Travel Required : Flexibility to travel between Colorado Springs and Aurora 50% of the time.

Required Experience :

• Typically requires BS / BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Data Center LAN and WAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance, and management.
• Ability to understand system data flows internal and external to the overall system boundary.
• Experience with Linux system administration / VMware Experience with configuring cloud networking in AWS, security groups.
• Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.).

Preferred Experience :

• Network Certifications such as CCNP / CCIE Knowledge / experience with DoD Network Security.
• Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA hardening requirements and implementation.
• Experience with managing virtual machines / virtual network infrastructure.
• Understanding of DevOps / DevSecOps concepts.
• Experience with the Agile development lifecycle Experience with monitoring of virtualized network environments.
• Security Plus within 90 days.

Pay Rate : $60.00 - $66.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
