Overview
Spherion is seeking a dedicated and skilled Bench Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift. You will be an essential part of our operations, responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products by interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications. This role requires precision and a keen eye for detail as you'll be performing deburring operations, removing burrs and sharp edges, and smoothing surfaces using a variety of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications.
- Perform deburring and stripping operations on finished parts.
- Operate various tools, including files, edge breakers, grinders, drill presses, and jitterbugs.
- Use ultrasonic gauges, micrometers, and calipers to maintain close tolerances of + / -.002.
- Ensure proper handling and management of hazardous waste.
- Collaborate with the team and participate in project committees as needed.
Working hours
1 : 30 PM - 10 : 00 PM
Skills
Familiarity with chemical milling features and conditions.Experience with a wide range of deburring and finishing equipment.Education
