Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact license

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Proficiency in triage, medication administration, IV placement, and stroke / sepsis protocols

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department

Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Apply critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education

Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience

Supervise and provide direction to assigned healthcare personnel
