TXM are recruiting on behalf of a leading Automation and intralogistics provider, to join a brand-new distribution facility in the Joliet area.

As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful running of a highly automated solution in line with the onsite customers goals.

Maintenance Operations Manager Responsibilities :

  • You will be the key interface for the on-site client, with responsibility for building and maintaining a strong working relationship and ensuring the site is delivering against the customers SLA’s.
  • Ownership over the site budget, with P&L responsibility for a multi-million-dollar budget.
  • Oversee data analysis of KPI’s and any RCA findings, defining necessary action plans in line with findings.
  • Management of a large onsite team through direct reports.
  • Oversee all relevant training needs of staff to ensure safe operation of facility. Supporting their continued development through training programs.
  • Develop, define and implement all SOP’s for a highly automated facility.
  • Creating a continuous improvement culture, one that uses lean methodologies and allows the site to identify areas for improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring the site understands and is following health & safety policies.
  • Reporting on technical activities, SLA’s and commercial details to internal teams and the customer.
  • Creating and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs for automated machinery.
  • Through direct reports, plan and allocate day to day tasks with SLA’s in mind.

Experience & requirements for the role :

  • Eligibility to work in the USA.
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager for a large, fast paced site with responsibility for budgets, contracts, automated machinery and customer reporting.
  • Worked within a fast paced, high-volume environment previously FMCG, automated warehousing, food production, packaging or pharmaceuticals would prove a good transfer.
  • Recruitment, onboarding, training and development experience over large scale teams.
  • Knowledge of automated machinery, with experience in developing maintenance programs.
  • Managed capital projects and identified continuous improvements for automated assets.
