• Do NOT need OR license at time of submittal Unit Notes for CHI Mercy Medical Center Unit PCU # of beds 20 Ratios 1 : 3 (max 1 : 4 if medical overflow) Required Certifications ACLS, BLS Common diagnoses / Types of patients Cardiac, Respiratory, ETOH w / d, Renal failure Experience or 'Must have' skills Acute care, cardiac and respiratory Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes minimal Common titratable & / or set rate drips Cardizem, heparin, amiodarone Charge Nurse / House Supervisor Yes both Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios Yes 1 : 7 days, 1 : 11 nights RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Cpap, Bipap, high flow nasal cannula Is there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips? Yes monitor techs and RNs Shifts & Scheduling 12 hours 1845-0715 Weekend Requirement EOW Holiday Requirement 1 major and 1 minor Is there a call or standby requirement?
