JOB TITLE – Commissary Assistant (Part-Time)

DEPARTMENT – Operations

REPORTS TO – Food & Beverage Buyer

SUMMARY

The Commissary Assistant supports daily food production and distribution tasks within the commissary. This role is responsible for assisting with the preparation, packaging, labeling, and delivery of food and supply items to various outlets. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a structured, team-oriented environment. This is a part-time position ideal for someone looking to contribute to a professional culinary operation while maintaining flexible hours.

JOB ENVIRONMENT

Primarily works indoors in a kitchen and storage facility environment. Exposure to refrigerated areas, cleaning chemicals, and food production equipment is common. Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position may involve early morning hours, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior kitchen, commissary, or food production experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow detailed instructions and production lists accurately
• Attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and food safety
• Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

COMPENSATION

$18.00 / hour - $20.00 / hour. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
