We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. As part of our team, you will play a key role in providing top-tier legal services to our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the legal field, particularly in estate planning and probate law.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in all aspects of estate planning and probate administration.
- Assist in the drafting and reviewing of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
- Prepare and file gift tax returns and other related documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memos or reports to attorneys.
- Manage probate and trust administration process, including preparing probate documents, maintaining estate and trust records, and communicating with clients and beneficiaries.
- Coordinate the transfer of assets and assist with the valuation of estate and trust assets.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, attorneys, and other staff.
- Stay updated on changes in estate planning and probate laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm with familiarity with estate planning and probate administration.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning and probate laws and procedures.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with legal document management software is a plus.
