Senior Investment Research Associate (GoalVest Advisory LLC, New York, NY) : Lead investment research, providing insights on macroeconomic trends, asset classes, and thematic opportunities (15%); Oversee performance evaluation processes, developing analytics on portfolio attribution and risk management, and implement risk monitoring systems (10%); Mentor and support junior analysts in knowledge and skill development (10%); Manage structured note trading, improving trade execution and risk mitigation (5%); Oversee investment manager selection for traditional and alternative investments (5%); Manage model portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives and firm strategy (5%); Oversee risk management of portfolios so that target investment objectives are aligned with client models and client restrictions are followed (10%); Make asset allocation decisions and guide the firm's investment committee (15%); Conduct advanced research on public and private market opportunities (9%); Ensure asset allocation committee views are implemented across portfolios (2%); Provide reporting to ensure diversification across issuer, security and underlying is met (2%); Work with compliance and operations teams to ensure portfolios are aligned with regulatory and client guidelines, and collaborate with the advisory and management team to enhance client understanding of decisions and performance (2%); and Contribute market updates, investment strategy communications, and thought leadership pieces (10%). The following skills and experience are required in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks : Experience with Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA); Experience with Python; Experience with macroeconomics, including experience with leading indicators and contrarian metrics; Experience with portfolio construction / model change / rebalancing / tax loss harvesting; Experience with back testing and Monte Carlo simulations; Experience with portfolio optimization, including mean-variance optimization; Experience with manager selection due diligence; Experience with stock valuation metrics, including price to earning, profit margin; Experience with performance attribution analysis including Brinson Attribution and factors-based attribution; Experience with investment performance metrics, including tracking error, Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio, capture ratio, and information ratio; and Experience with Ycharts and Black Diamond. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field, and at least three years of experience working in Portfolio Management at a firm serving high net worth individuals or a related occupation.
