Surveillance Radar Technicians play a crucial role in detecting and defending against enemy artillery and mortar rounds.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly in radar and computer electronics. They should also be able to inspect, test, and adjust system components and equipment with precision.
To succeed in this position, one must meet certain requirements :
Be a U.S. Citizen
Be between 17 to 34 years old
Hold a High School Diploma or GED
Meet Tattoo Guidelines
Avoid Major Law Violations
Have No Medical Concerns
In addition to these qualifications, the selected candidate will undergo rigorous training :
10 weeks of Basic Training
37 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
Obtain nationally recognized certifications (36 available)
Score a minimum ASVAB score : Electronics (EL) 107, OR Electronics (EL) 102, OR Skilled Technical (ST) 90
