Join Us as a Commercial Vehicle 12V Electrical Upfitter
Picture your workday starting at 6 : 00 AM. You review a build sheet, power up your meter, and begin transforming a standard work truck into a road‑ready, safety‑equipped vehicle. By mid‑morning, you’ve wired a lighting array and mounted a control panel. After lunch, you fabricate a custom bracket, install a truck‑mounted attenuator, and run final checks before signing off on a clean, safe installation. If that rhythm excites you, you’ll thrive here.
Schedule & Pay
- Shift : Monday – Friday; 6AM – 2 : 30PM, plus overtime as needed
- Hourly pay rate : 20–23.00
What You’ll Work On
Install, troubleshoot, and repair 12V electrical systems on commercial vehicles.Wire and mount lighting systems, control panels, and warning devices to spec.Build wiring harnesses for lighting systems and control boxes.Fabricate custom brackets to mount lights / strobes, controllers, and distribution boxes.Install truck mounted attenuators (TMAs) and other vehicle‑mounted safety systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.Perform quality control checks and safety inspections on completed installations.Diagnose and repair customers’ lighting / electrical systems, TMAs, and other traffic safety equipment.Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.Collaborate with teammates to meet production timelines and project specifications.Operate a forklift to transport materials.Use manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.Lift and carry merchandise as needed; keep the shop and warehouse organized and safe.Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and inventory; assist with waste disposal and recycling.Assist with inventory counts and perform other duties as assigned by management.Always adhere to safety procedures and company policies.What You Bring
2+ years of experience in automotive electrical work or related field (vocational training considered).Strong knowledge of 12V systems, relays, fuses, and wiring standards.Experience with upfitting or outfitting work vehicles is a plus.Proficiency with hand and power tools and a commitment to working safely.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.Meticulous attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift, bend, sit, and stand for 8–10 hours per day.Team‑oriented mindset; able to take direction and collaborate effectively.Preferred Extras
Experience installing TMAs, emergency lighting, or traffic safety equipment.ASE or EVT certifications.Welding or fabrication experience.Every build leaves the bay safer and smarter because of your work.
