Minimum Job Requirements
Experience in the areas of mechanized powder coating and E-coating processes
Able to troubleshoot and improve powder coating and paint processes
Project management experience associated with setting up production powder coatings and paint processes.
Excellent organization, coordination, and communication skills.
Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of or experience with NADCAP
Experience working with ISO requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for defining, organizing, coordinating, and establishing powder paint and coatings production lines on time and within budget. Responsible for ensuring paint and e-coat processes produce an output that meets the customer's specifications. Responsible for optimizing the coatings process lines and equipment. Authorized to work with local environmental agencies to ensure regulatory compliance. Authorized to place purchase requisitions, as needed, for the daily operation of the paint and e-coat processes within budget.
Optimize powder coating and E-costing processes to ensure the highest quality standards, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Use scientific methodologies to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve process-related issues, ensuring the identification of root causes and the implementation of corrective actions.
Conduct process experiments and analyze results to improve performance and eliminate defects in coating application.
Perform process validation and optimization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Analyze process data and use statistical tools (e.g., SPC, DOE) to monitor and improve process consistency.
Design and implement process controls to reduce variability and improve product consistency.
Provide technical support and training to production teams on best practices, new technologies, and process improvements.
Evaluate and ensure process variables (including painters) are optimized
Ensure all powder coating processes meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Continuously seek opportunities to innovate, reduce costs, and improve overall process efficiency.
Establish standard processes and quality expectations for manufacturing powder-coated parts.
Research advancements in coating technology to stay at the forefront of industry innovations.
Ensure government requirements and regulations are followed.

Education and Experience
B.S. degree in Engineering - Chemical, Material, or Surface Engineering, preferred. Five years' minimum experience with Powder Coating and E-Coating of metal parts. Project management experience associated with setting up a paint / coating manufacturing line, desired.
