Financial Accounting Manager - Bilingual Korean / English Fluency

Description of the Role :
This role will be responsible for Family Office Investment accounting operations and financial management and will oversee the accounting of investment transactions. This role will require strong knowledge in accounting, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
This is an ideal position for an accountant who is extremely detailed, organized and enjoys being challenged with new and everchanging responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations :
o Books maintenance and facilitate month-end close for the group, its affiliates, handle taxation; distributions and investors’ data collection.
o Manage staff accountant.
o Facilitate year-end audit processes.
o Implement tax planning
o Implement accounting procedures and monitor systems.
o Monitor bookkeeping account in QuickBooks.
o Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and tax standards as required.
Finance Operations :
o Oversee financial operations including budgeting; forecasting; financial reporting and analysis.
o Provide management in coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures
o Timely and accurate completion of month end, quarter end, year end closing and account reconciliations.
o Process improvement in areas of “record to report, order to cash / pay.
o Manage accounting in cash management, forecast, financial cost control and assess impact on current year audit engagements
o Meeting deadline for financial closing
o Monitor investment transactions and monthly reconciliation.
o Project revenue forecast and accrual.
o Follow up with loan and private equity investments; monitor cash flow.
o Demonstrate deep understanding in investment types.
o Manage profitability of projects
o Develop, document, and gain cross functional alignment on processes to support internal team and external business contacts.
o Assess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams
o Prepare complex financial closings, tax compliance filings and other business analysis
o Compile and evaluate complex data, computations, documentation and various tax and accounting software.
o Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Executives and Investment Managers.
o Work closely with the Family Office Principle , providing comprehensive accounting duties including bookkeeping, general ledger, reporting (Investment and accounting), tax coordination , and various other accounting and administrative projects
o Manage data quality, evaluate team performance, resolve issues, and provide suggestions on implementation plans.
