The ideal candidate will act as a hybrid Program Manager and Application Architect-capable of managing stakeholders and vendors, while also rolling up their sleeves to support technical teams and ensure the right architectural decisions are made. This role will require him to independently lead design discussions with the consulting company in giving them the directions and also the internal IT team members. He has to be an architect to some extent which he acknowledged he is not.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead phased global Coupa rollout across multiple regions.
- Define and manage governance structure, budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Balance program leadership with the technical depth needed to offload internal IT / development teams.
- Provide executive reporting with RAG dashboards and KPIs.
Functional & Business Process Expertise
Act as SME in Procure-to-Pay processes (requisitions, POs, invoicing, accruals, supplier enablement, expenses).Drive process harmonization while ensuring alignment with finance cycles, compliance, and global statutory / tax requirements.Conduct workshops and validate design solutions against business needs.Technical & Integration Oversight
Independently lead technical and design discussions with both consulting partners and internal IT.Oversee ERP integrations (Oracle, SAP, or regional ERPs) with Coupa.Provide architectural guidance for integrations, data migration (suppliers, open POs, invoices, catalogs), and application configuration.Collaborate with middleware teams (MuleSoft, Boomi, CTX) for interface delivery.Direct SIT / UAT cycles and ensure defect-free cutover.Stakeholder & Change Management
Serve as primary liaison across Procurement, Finance, IT, Shared Services, and external vendors.Lead supplier onboarding and enablement campaigns globally.Drive user adoption and training while mitigating internal bandwidth constraints.Deliverables & Success Measures
Global Coupa deployment delivered per roadmap with zero critical defects.80%+ supplier onboarding per go-live wave.Cost savings demonstrated via automation and process efficiency.Smooth transition to steady-state operations (AMS / BPO).Required Qualifications
10+ years in IT & business project / program management.5+ years delivering procurement / finance systems globally .Proven Coupa (preferred), Ariba, or GEP implementation experience.Deep SME knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P).Strong technical integration and application configuration experience-able to serve as architect and PM.ERP integration expertise (Oracle / SAP).Global stakeholder / vendor management experience.PMP, Prince2, or equivalent certification preferred.Preferred Skills
Shared services and BPO transition project experience.Supplier enablement and catalog management.Master data governance and data migration expertise.Knowledge of global compliance and procurement regulations
