Job Title : User Experience Researcher
Location : Milwaukee, WI, or Remote
Duration : Long-term contract (1+ year with likely extension)
Company Overview : Join a Fortune 100 client based in Milwaukee as a User Experience Researcher. This role involves working within a growing team, with a substantial focus on researching and enhancing the onboarding experience.
Approximately 50% of the work will revolve around achieving the team's objectives for the onboarding journey in 2024. This position can be done remotely in the US or you can work onsite hybrid in Milwaukee.
Role Overview :
As a User Experience Researcher, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with product, design, and development teams.
Your primary responsibility will be to advocate for user needs, pain points, and behaviors to create exceptional user experiences.
You will be instrumental in understanding stakeholder research needs and employing suitable research methodologies to address them.
This position involves :
- Leading and executing research projects from inception to completion as the primary researcher.
- Creating UX research artifacts such as proposals, moderator's guides, and result summaries.
- Synthesizing research findings effectively and succinctly.
- Identifying untapped research opportunities that can enhance value and executing them efficiently.
- Building and maintaining lists of targeted research participants from internal and external sources.
- Being the go-to resource for user knowledge within the organization.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of experience conducting formal research in the field of User Experience.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research techniques like contextual inquiry, usability testing, competitive benchmarking, interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
- Strong passion for creating exceptional experiences for users.
- Experience with UX Research tools such as OptimalSort, UserZoom, UserTesting.com, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with survey platforms like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or equivalent tools.
- Willingness to challenge conventional approaches in addressing user needs.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred) :
- Master's degree or advanced certification in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related fields.
- Experience in onboarding journey research is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
