Registered Nurse ( Full-Time)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring a high standard of nursing care to patients, working within company policies and procedures.
- Setting, monitoring, and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care .
- Maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, privacy and ensuring a friendly environment.
- Pre-op and post-op duties during patient admission, recovery, and discharge processes.
- Maintaining timely and accurate nursing records and ensuring patient confidentiality is respected at all times.
- Storing, checking, and administering drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Stocking, and inventory management of nursing supplies and medications
- Restocking of the anesthesia cart end of the day
- Ensuring the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment within the recovery and nursing area in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
- Assure quality care by adhering to standards set by the physicians
- Provide care education to patients in person or over the phone
- Adhere to compliance guidelines throughout processes (AAAHC, OSHA & HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure
- ACLS, and BCLS Certification required
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Candidate must be able to lift and position patients on endoscopy stretchers and transport patients if necessary.
