Installs and maintains audio and visual equipment. Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV / projection / lighting / conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operates equipment to enhance effects of sound and display at live events.Sets up lighting, sound devices, and video and projection devices.Coordinates audio with visual displays.Assist and instruct guests / customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in useTest and resolves technical issues.Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order.Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms.Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets to manager / supervisor.Works with event directors to add enhancements.Any other duties as assigned by manager.After an initial waiting period, those hired into full time positions are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes the following :
