Social Worker
Minimum 1+ years social worker experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated Short-Term Social Worker to join our team in New Haven, CT. This position involves providing social work support to students during two separate periods : May 28th to June 21st, 2024, and late August through September 18th, 2024.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools and a passion for supporting the social and emotional well-being of students.
Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
- Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
- Implement strategies to support students' social and emotional growth.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Participate in team meetings and consultations with staff and parents.
Requirements :
- Masters degree in social work, school counseling, or school psychology.
- LCSW preferred; Candidates must be licensed (LSW).
- Previous experience working in schools preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work during the specified periods.
