Job descriptionPrior experience in building maintenance (Assisted Living experience preferred). Plumbing : commodes, fixtures, drains, heaters, dishwashers, ice machines. operation / mechanics of heat pumps, refrigeration systems. wiring, voltage, amperage. Mechanics : design and operation of engines. Valid driver’s license with a clean record. Ability to communicate clearly, use sound judgment, and handle emergencies effectively. - Inspect lighting, HVAC units, plumbing, safety equipment, and other areas regularly.
- Assist residents with minor repairs and moves.
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, outdoor areas, and community vehicles.
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.
- Ensure maintenance coverage for after-hours emergencies.
