Overview
The Business Application Analyst maximizes value from the credit union's enterprise business applications by serving as a technical resource to business application owners. This includes conducting end user support for all supported systems, including service delivery, monitoring operations, as well as assisting with maintaining relationships with critical systems partners. Systems supported include enterprise business applications such as, Core Financial Systems, Digital Banking Platforms, and Enterprise Content Management Solutions, and Deposit and Loan Origination Systems. The Business Analyst creates business requirements, participates on assigned projects and ensures their timely implementation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct application end user support for all systems assigned, to include researching system functionality to troubleshoot issues and addresses questions on system workflows, working with application vendor support staff, network vendor engineers, and internal IT staff on application issues
- Ensure that proposed and existing enterprise business applications remain aligned with organizational goals and objectives, including providing vendors with recommendations for system improvements to meet the organization's strategic goals
- Collaborate with Business Owners to ensure business applications are providing the desired outcomes
- Review third party notifications for impact to internal or member facing services
- Evaluate impact on business applications and provides feedback to impacted Business Unit(s)
- Conduct research, to include assisting with gap analysis, of commercial solutions in support of project and development efforts
- Deploy new business applications and enhancements to existing applications in accordance with established project and change management procedures
- Act as a liaison between end users and business application owners
- Conduct user acceptance testing activities
- Ensure data is available for reporting and reporting requirements are met for business units
- Assist in creating system documentation and requirements to support desired outcomes
- Administer and maintain group permissions and access rights for managed systems
- Assist with coordinating vendor releases and system upgrades
- Adhere to change control procedures, assists with all audits
- Participate in rotational on-call schedule
- Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent2 years of software application experience using critical software affecting multiple business units2 years experience using business analyst skills to evaluate processes and systemsAbility to work with teams from multiple departments within the credit union and to communicate effectively with staff with a variety of expertiseAbility to work effectively on-site in our Herndon, VA headquarters and equally effectively remotelyAccuracy and detail-orientationAbility to review and analyze or interpret data and documentation and to make decisions regarding subsequent actionsEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate new skills as required by the organization after sufficient time and training to support an evolving environmentAbility to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and / or with membersAbility to work M-F 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PMPreferred
