Facilities Coordinator- Assistant Project Manager
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in our Chicago office and working remote from home. Sargent & Lundy provides comprehensive consulting, engineering, design, and analysis for electric power generation and power delivery projects worldwide. We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator- Assistant Project Manager who will assist the Facility Manager with both Facility Management and Project Management initiatives within the facilities department.
Responsibilities :
- Assist lead facilities coordinator with facilities day to day operations, including supporting maintaining the open work tickets for Chicago headquarters and other office locations currently 40+ throughout the US and Canada, and growing.
- Maintenance management : effectively manage workflows, resource allocation and maintenance requests to ensure timely support efforts.
- Represent facilities Innovations Hub meetings.
- Lead decommissioning efforts as needed in various office relocations.
- Assist with S&L security systems, implementation, maintenance.
- Assist with office facility set up and staff moves. Lead / Support post move activities, close out of punchlist items.
- Lead artwork installation in offices.
- Coordination of facility subcontracted services in regional office (security, movers, office space and furniture repairs).
- Support the timely response to emergencies and non-emergency problems. Resolution of facility repairs and other issues.
- Interface with building management to ensure timely communication of conditions impacting work environment.
Qualifications :
58+ years of facilities management experience required; bachelor's degree in Facilities or a related field is preferred but not required (equivalent experience accepted).Strong customer service base, ability to remain calm as facility requests come in.Work well with contractors, vendors, and trades.Routinely handle confidential information.Minimize conflict when resolving space or facility issues.Routinely travel to office locations as necessary.Work after hours and weekends to support the various office and maintenance work as needed (15%).Interface with building management for coordination, access, and issues resolution.Ability to prioritize facility activities and meet deadlines. Report back timely conflicts or delays.Familiarity BlueBeam for space and / or furniture layout a plus.Award-Winning Benefits
