As an Armed Security Officer - Corrections Facility in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and interact with individuals to provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and / or violations of site policies.
  • Perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and other access points to help to deter breaches.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Applicants must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
