Position Description : IAP Government Services Group is a National Construction Management firm with an immediate opening for a QAQC.

IAPs successful project performance is driven by our objective to deliver quality projects that are completed on time and within budget while exceeding the expectations of our clients.

The Quality Assurance / Control responsibilities is to effectively lead the construction team and ensure they have all the resources they need.

Position Responsibilities : tConducts and carries out portions of daily inspection of site work, building construction work, document discrepancies, code violations, improper materials, or technique in the application of materials, substandard or poor-quality workmanship, monitors schedules on various aspects of ongoing daily activities to identify and mitigate slippage and coordinate project phasing.

tReviews submittals and RFIs, maintains accurate and complete job files including as-built drawings and specification, identifies progress delays and recommends appropriate corrective measures to the Project Manager and / or Superintendent.

tConduct or attend weekly progress meetings to monitor project status, schedule, discuss problems, and resolve issues accordingly.

tReview the testing / inspection reports submitted and approve / disapprove

tKeep thorough records of all construction related matters.

tPerform daily quality control reports.

tMaintaining list(s) of observed defects and omissions.

tPrepare punch lists and coordinate resolutions of punch list items.

tAvailable to work after normal duty hours, on nights from 5pm to 7am and / or weekend as the project requires.

tMust be able to communicate fluently in English.

tEnsure installed work is consistent with the approved submittals to make recommendations for final approval of installed work.

tUtilizing computerized management systems applications, processing request for information, maintaining an inventory of materials, supplies and equipment and monitoring the quantity of materials used.

tObserve work being conducted by subcontractors for proper installation and application of construction materials.

tReview samples of equipment and materials to be utilized for construction and provide analysis.

tMaintain mark-ups set of project plans and specifications for future as-built drawings.

tCompile deficiency logs and follow up on correction.

tCoordinate inspections.

tCoordinate testing and commission work.

tTake digital photos of construction progress throughout the duration of the project.

tClose out activities : warranty and O&M

tPerform additional assignments per supervisors direction. Compile deficiency logs and follow up on correction.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Quality Control Manager - tBachelors degree in : Construction Management, Engineering, related field - OR

tMinimum of 5 years combined experience in the following positions : Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades.

t2yrs+ experience as a QC Manager in Commercial Construction. tExperience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.

tDetail knowledge of both site and vertical construction means and methods

tMastered ability to review and understand federal contract documents, plans, specifications, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

tProficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project

tProcore (5yrs)

tExcellent mathematical, reading, technical writing and note taking skills

tStrong communication, organization, safety, and teamwork skills

tPrior work experience with a Construction Management, General Contractor, Architectural or Engineering firm. Preferred but not required.
