Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Monmouth County, New Jersey. In this role, you will handle various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and account reconciliation, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in tools like Excel and Sage would be helpful.

Responsibilities :

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

Reconcile accounts to ensure all financial records are balanced and up-to-date.

Prepare and send sales tax documentation to vendors in compliance with regulations.

Collaborate on additional accounting projects as assigned to support the department.

Apply advanced Excel skills to analyze and organize financial information.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Assist in streamlining accounting processes for improved efficiency.

Requirements :

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable processes and account reconciliation.

Familiarity with Sage software is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
