Primary Focus
- Organize collections with Sheets, or another online data collection system for transparency
- Merchandize and list items on eBay to maximize sales
Work with E-Commerce Manager to determine timing of auctions or listing an item with a "Buy it Now" designation.
General Responsibilities
Pickup and return of collection is left to the Collection and Listing Specialist.Return items that don't meet the standards for eBay sales back to Common ThreadsCreate and maintain efficient processes for working through incoming collections of cards, coins, stamps, comic books etc.Quickly look up items to find out worth on the reselling market which you don't have any expertise with.
Common Threads through the E-Commerce Manager will provide shipping supplies.Physical and Other Requirements
Able to stand on feet and work consistently for several hours without sittingAble to walk, twist, pull, and pushAble to lift at least 30 poundsValid Ohio driver license and access to a reliable vehicleAble to travel between home and store / office locations and UPS / USPS locations for pickup and dropoffAbility to pass a background checkProfessional and personal references are required and it is preferred that those references come from persons or organizations connected to Building Hope in the CityQualifications
Familiarity with eBayKnowledge of the incoming collection is necessary or the ability to quickly researchThere is no compensation for research and training (see below)
Exclusive use of the Common Threads eBay platform. Any merchandise that is found to be on a personal account will be cause for immediate termination of contract work and potential litigation.Compensation and Benefits
This is a 1099 agreement with the E-Commerce Collection and Listing Specialist receiving 40% of the profit from online sales that they are responsible for listing, and Common Threads receiving 60% of the profits from online sales that the E-Commerce Collection and Listing Specialist was responsible for.After shipping and handling and online platform percentages have been taken out of the gross sale, the ECCLS will receive 40% of the sale
1099 employees are paid on the 15th of each month via ACH
