Saint Xavier University is hiring : Adjunct Faculty - Communication in Cary

Summary

The Department of Communication seeks qualified applicants to teach one to two courses in the following areas : Public Speaking and / or Persuasion. Applicants must have experience teaching both courses. Courses are assigned based on enrollment, and while not guaranteed, the College of Liberal and Education endeavors to provide adjuncts with timely course cancellation notices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will teach Public Speaking and / or Persuasion, adhering to IAI requirements for public speaking courses. They must utilize the Canvas learning management system for grades, course materials, and communication. The candidate should be capable of teaching both in-person and online-only classes.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Communication or a related field. Please include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, and three references with your application. Official transcripts may be requested later. This description is not exhaustive and may change based on program needs.
