Position Summary :

MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our dedicated IV Therapy team in Scarborough. This front-facing role is critical in supporting patients-many living with cancer or chronic illnesses-as they navigate their treatment journeys. As a PSS, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and families, delivering compassionate customer service while ensuring accurate scheduling, registration, and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and empathy
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with attention to clinical needs and continuity of care
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays or other payments
• Respond to patient inquiries, troubleshoot scheduling challenges, and advocate for patient needs
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate closely with nurses, providers, and administrative team members
