As an Indirect Tax Intern at T-Mobile, you'll gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of telecommunications taxation. Working alongside experienced tax professionals, you will support compliance, reporting, and research functions while learning how state and local indirect taxes impact a Fortune 100 business. This role is designed to give you practical exposure to tax processes, technology, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and review of indirect tax returns (sales / use, telecom, gross receipts, property tax). Prepare reconciliations and documentation to support monthly and quarterly tax filings.
• Support tax research projects by analyzing statutes, rulings, and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Help gather, organize, and analyze data used for tax compliance and audit defense.
• Participate in system testing and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with various tax teams, including tax compliance, revenue tax, consumption tax, property tax, tax policy, and income tax.
• Present findings and recommendations to the Indirect Tax team.

Qualifications

Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $20 / hour to $40 / hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on experience / location.
