JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Type : Locum Tenens (Full-Time; flexible coverage accepted, 24 weeks / month)
  • Location : Erie, PA
  • Service Setting : Hospital
  • Coverage Type : Clinical + Call
  • Coverage Period : Oct 6, 2025 Jun 30, 2026 (ASAP start available with temps / emergency privileges)
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Mon Fri, 8a 4 : 30p (clinic 9a 4p; diagnostic reads interspersed)
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : Weekdays 5p 8a; 24-hour weekend coverage
  • Call Type : Telephone (30-minute response)
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 1 (with APP support during day hours)
  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES
  • Oct 6, 2025 Jun 30, 2026
  • Emergency / temporary privileges available in 30 days for earlier start

  • Patient Volume / Census : Variable; 56 weekday calls / night; 810 follow-ups + 10 consults on weekends
  • Admissions : 1 average admission while on call

  • Case Mix : 100% Cardiology

  • Office Equipment Available : Multiple diagnostic systems (5 total)
  • Specialty Backup Available : APP support 8a5p
  • Support Staff Available : RNs, APPs
  • Reason for Coverage : Candidate on leave

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (temps / emergency 30 days)
  • Credentialing Timeline : 60 days

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered
  • Lodging : Up to $175 / night (preferred hotel list available)
  • Rental Car : $75 / day (AprNov); $100 / day for 4WD SUV (DecMar)
  • Airfare : Economy seating with 1 checked bag; mileage reimbursed at IRS rates REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Coverage of hospital duties including diagnostic reads, consultations, and clinic appointments
  • Not expected to perform EKG, Echo, or Stress Tests, but may do so if they wish
