Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

BILL is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Manager of Finance to partner with our Engineering organization. This is a critical role that will serve as the primary finance business partner to our Chief Technology Officer and the entire Engineering leadership team. You will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support strategic decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and drive the overall financial health and performance of the Engineering function.

List of Responsibilities / Duties :

• Strategic Business Partnership : Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Engineering organization, providing proactive financial insights and recommendations to support product development, R&D initiatives, and technology investments.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) : Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and quarterly forecasting processes for the Engineering organization. This includes modeling and forecasting headcount, capital expenditures, and operating expenses related to engineering programs.
• Monthly Close : Assist in accounting processes related to close; work closely with R&D and Accounting to forecast and track activities for internal functions and external vendors as part of period close process.
• Performance Management : Develop and track key financial and operational metrics to measure the velocity, effectiveness and efficiency of the Engineering organization. Provide regular reporting and analysis to leadership on budget versus actuals, identifying trends and risks.
• Resource Allocation : Partner with Engineering leadership to evaluate and prioritize investments in new technologies, platforms, and talent. Provide financial analysis to support build vs. buy decisions and other strategic initiatives.
• Decision Support : Prepare financial models and business cases to evaluate new projects and initiatives.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the Engineering finance function.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with other finance teams (e.g., Corporate FP&A, Accounting) and cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT) to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting and processes.
• Team Leadership : Manage 1 direct report and foster their development and growth.
