Pediatric Nurse - Primary Care Center

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our team at the Primary Care Center. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to infants, children, and adolescents in our community.
You'll work closely with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care.
Responsibilities :
1. Conduct pediatric assessments, including physical examinations, developmental screenings, and health history reviews.
2. Administer vaccinations and other age-appropriate medications as prescribed by physicians.
3. Provide education and support to parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and developmental milestones.
4. Assist with minor procedures and treatments, such as wound care, suturing, and ear irrigations.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
6. Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, and escalate concerns to physicians as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, medications, and immunization records.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards related to pediatric care.
9. Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and promoting positive health outcomes.
10. Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in pediatric nursing through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with a specialization in pediatric nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR certification for healthcare providers.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on patient and family-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing or primary care settings is desirable but not required.
