Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
CooperDouglas is partnering with a well-established multi‑unit industrial service company to hire a Director of Finance to lead financial reporting, planning, and analysis in a fast‑paced, complex environment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in GAAP, deep analytical capability, and the ability to connect finance, operations, and data to drive performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Build and maintain comprehensive three‑statement financial models that support strategic planning and decision‑making.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data across multiple entities; ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Create and customize dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide meaningful insights to leadership.
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate new business initiatives, investments, and pricing strategies.
- Integrate data from multiple systems (ERP, data warehouse, and SQL environments) to support analysis and improve visibility.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial packages for leadership, banking partners, and external stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor a small team, providing structure, accountability, and growth.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure consistent process documentation.
- Support external audits and drive continuous improvement across financial systems and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership at the Manager or Director level.Proven success leading teams and implementing scalable financial processes.Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, and consolidation.Experience designing dashboards and leveraging data to drive operational performance.Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insight.Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in an onsite, fast‑paced environment.Compensation up to $185,000 + bonus
Onsite daily in Long Beach, CA.
