About the Role
This is a hybrid role located in our HQ office in Torrance, CA. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a key leadership position within the Finance team. The role combines technical excellence in forecasting, budgeting, and analysis with strong interpersonal acumen and emotional intelligence, fostering trust and collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Executive teams.
Salary Range
$180,000 – $215,000 plus annual bonus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering collaboration, growth, and accountability.
- Cultivate a culture of emotional intelligence and resilience, encouraging professional development and composure under stress.
- Inspire and motivate the FP&A team, modeling adaptability and alignment with firm standards.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses with accuracy and insight.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and business partners.
- Build scalable reporting frameworks to support EP’s growth trajectory.
- Partner with senior leadership and department heads to drive informed decision‑making.
- Provide financial leadership and strategic support for M&A diligence, integration, and long‑term planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred).7–10 years of experience in FP&A, including team leadership and executive collaboration.Prior experience in investment banking or private equity strongly preferred.Proven ability to lead with empathy, high emotional intelligence, and effective communication across teams.Demonstrated success managing competing priorities in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, MS Power BI).Experience in wealth management or private equity‑backed environments is a plus.What We Offer
