Hospital Pharmacist Job Details

• Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy (Main Campus, Ground Floor)
• Contract Type: Travel Pharmacist Contract
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 16, 2026
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 8 Hour Nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,260 - $2,430
• Team: 1 pharmacist and 2 pharmacy technicians per night shift
• Facility Size: 285 beds, all private rooms
• Technology: Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge; EMR: Meditech

Pharmacist Qualifications

• PharmD or degree from an accredited Pharmacy School
• Active Missouri Pharmacist License
• Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
• ACLS/BLS certification preferred
• NICU pharmacy experience is a plus

Hospital Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care for inpatient hospital patients
• Perform medication verification, dosing (including Vancomycin, Aminoglycosides, Anticoagulants), and pain consults
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in sterile IV compounding, Pyxis checks, first doses, and emergency medication boxes
• Utilize advanced pharmacy technology (Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge) and EMR (Meditech)
• Collaborate with a supportive team of hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and procedures
