Accounting Manager

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Accounting Manager to oversee our bookkeeping and staff accounting team. This role is responsible for reviewing client financials, managing workflows, and ensuring quality control. You'll also play a key role in staff development, client communication, and internal process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor bookkeeping and staff accounting team

Review monthly financials and ensure accuracy and compliance

Manage workload distribution and client deliverables

Communicate with clients to provide financial insight and resolve issues

Improve internal accounting workflows and documentation standards

Assist with onboarding new clients and overseeing their initial setup

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

6+ years of progressive accounting experience

Experience in managing a team or reviewing others' work

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and workflow tools (e.g., Canopy, Karbon)

Excellent communication and client service skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or MBA preferred

Prior experience in a client accounting services (CAS) environment

Experience with performance reviews, KPI tracking, or practice management tools
