SUMMARY

The Database Analyst will create, develop, maintain, and analyze reports by retrieving data using T-SQL and format using Excel and / or Business Objects (Crystal Reports).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create, develop and maintain reports for department, executives and company wide use.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide ad-hoc reporting when needed
• Provide analysis to support need for new processes and improving established processes
• Provide analysis of existing reports
• Communicate report results and analysis to the department managers and executives
• Data entry / data maintenance
• Train report users / answer report user questions
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS) from four-year College or university in a related field; or three to five years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3 years experience with SQL Server Enterprise Manager 8.0 or better (Applicants will be given a T-SQL aptitude test)
• 1 year experience with Crystal Reports 9.0 or better
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Advanced level knowledge of Excel (Applicants will be given an Excel aptitude test)
• Detail oriented
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Self-reliant and self directed
• Strong experience understanding data structures and analyzing data from a business perspective
• Strong written, verbal, and listening skills
• Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with multiple steps
• Ability to identify and bring about process improvements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multitasking environment
• Ability to solve problems independently when handling urgent issues
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work them to resolution
• Experience working in the automotive industry is a plus
