  • Salary Range : $64,350 - $65,300
  • The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Position Summary

    Oversees all current clinical research projects in the Interstitial Lung Disease Program, within Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Division of Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care. This clinic treats patients with a broad range of inflammatory and fibrotic lung diseases.

    Responsibilities

    • Study subject management : facilitates screening, enrollment, and treatment of research subjects in compliance with established. regulations and guidelines and internal standard operating procedures.
    • Assist with eligibility assessment and obtaining written informed consent as appropriate.
    • Maintain and disseminates accurate listings of active and potential subjects.
    • Function as a liaison with sponsoring agencies and external sites.
    • Facilitate and helps lead research team meetings.
    • Facilitate sample collection, processing and storage activities.
    • Help to prepare and oversee deviations and serious adverse events reports for the Institutional Review Board and other agencies.
    • Assist with regulatory submissions including protocol review and monitoring.
    • Provide training and mentorship to junior and new staff.
    • Assist with short term projects and provides cross coverage to various research team members as needed.
    • Perform data entry and assists with ensuring data integrity and consistency.
    • Perform additional related duties as needed.
    • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience or equivalent in education and experience
    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with clinical trials
    • Experience with Institutional Review Board submissions and documentation
    • Trained in phlebotomy
    • Other Requirements

      Participation in the medical surveillance program

    • Contact with patients and / or human research subjects
    • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
    • Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
