Job description

GHR Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN to join our Critical Care team in a high acuity, fast paced environment. The ICU RN provides continuous monitoring, complex interventions, and life sustaining care for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and manage critically ill patients with multiple comorbidities
  • Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and invasive lines; titrate drips per protocol
  • Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies as ordered
  • Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in condition, initiating emergency interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
  • Support patients and families with education and end of life or complex care discussions
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license (state specific or compact)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in the same specialty
  • BLS required; ACLS required
  • Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and advanced cardiac monitoring skills
  • Comfortable with ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, and rapid response situations
