About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

License : Current RN license required.

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Must-Have : CVOR experience; proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred but not required.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation.

Patient diagnoses include CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, aortic dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root, carotid procedures, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella.

Ratios are 1 : 1 during assigned shifts.

Call requirement is for 2 days a week and every third weekend.

Candidates may float to the main OR on the same campus if there is no volume in CVOR.

Contract staff will be assigned to work a storm team and / or hurricane team.

They may be required to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment.

Candidates should be comfortable floating based on job description with no restrictions or special requests.

Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units.

Charting experience with an electronic health record is required.

Pending references at the time of submission are acceptable.

Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months are preferred.

Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours in a week.

Modules are required and must be completed pre-start and annually.
