The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead drainage engineering teams on transportation projects including freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared-use facilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, public and private site developments, and flood control projects
- Drainage design, including, but not limited to, the design of storm sewers, culverts, detention / water quality facilities, bridge deck drainage, river hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, and roadside ditches.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of the assigned design team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
- Perform design and oversee preparation of plans and details using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and / or Civil-3D
- Produce and QC erosion control and / or stormwater management plans, reports, quantities, and specifications
- Serve as lead drainage technical liaison with client on project efforts
- Staff management of local drainage engineering staff
What You Bring
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Water Resources EngineeringMinimum of 10 years of drainage design experience related to transportation infrastructure projectsMust be able to lead effectively in a collaborative team environment and foster strong, positive relationships with both team members and clientsLocal county and municipality project experienceLicensed Utah Professional EngineerPreferred Qualifications :
