About the job QA / QC Manager
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) Manager to oversee all aspects of quality management within our organization.
The QA / QC Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record of implementing effective QA / QC strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to QA / QC team members, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure incoming materials and components meet quality specifications.
- Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instrumentation.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on quality performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to quality management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and / or quality control roles, must have food manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Statistical Process Control.
- Proven experience developing and implementing quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or similar standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
