Job Summary : This position is responsible for the maintenance and logistical support of the service tool inventory. Responsibilities will include procurement, maintenance, and logistical support of Machine Division tool room inventory in assigned branch location(s).

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily : 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal / external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions :

• Identifies, organizes, labels tool room inventory to assure accurate input into computerized database.
• Maintains tools in branch inventory to assure safe and serviceable condition and availability for use.
• Processes tools from inventory into work orders and returns them to inventory after use by service technicians.
• Records tool information into computerized database on an on-going basis.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs, (or makes arrangement for the repair of) tools after return from service technicians after returning them to inventory.
• Analyzes new product introduction information and recommends procurement of tooling needed to support Caterpillar and allied product in the Holt Cat service territory.
• Reviews tool budget and records to maintain awareness of costs associated with providing tooling while assuring best usage of company financial resources.
• Instructs service technicians in the safe and proper use of tools, where necessary.
• Procures and maintains serviceable condition tooling within budgetary guidelines and limits.
• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Performs other duties assigned.
